Please find the appropriate Program on the left under "Muskie Guide Services".  In addition to Seminars, The Muskie Guide offers 3 standard packages for Guide Services.

We can also put together a complete package that will include lodging, food, drinks and other requests you may have.  Please ask your Muskie Guide for more details or use the Contact Page to send your request.

Although welcomed to bring your own, our Guide Service provides gear required for any of the Programs listed at the left of this page.  If you bring gear not designed for this sport, it will not be allowed on the boat.  Lure and live bait selection will be provided for and is typically dictated by the guide.

A valid Wisconsin Fishing License is required.  One day, two day and season licenses can be purchased for a nominal fee at a local shop for those who live in Wisconsin and those are are out of state.

We are experts in 2 DNR water classifications.

*  The "Northern Zone" for Wisconsin 2006 Muskellunge season begins on the Saturday nearest Memorial Day to November 30th.  Additional details are available through the Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources.

*  The "Wisconsin-Michigan boundary waters" 2006 Muskellunge season begins May 15th and remains open until November 30th.

Please find our Planning page to assist you with organizing your trip.  Your Muskie Guide can assist you with any other concerns.

Each Guide Service engagement is enhanced with knowledge transfer from a licensed professional guide.  Training includes:

  • Knots
  • Proper equipment and utilization
  • Patterns
  • Bait presentation techniques
  • Bait logic factor by lake type, time of season, what is working for us and other local Muskie fisherman.
  • Boat control
  • Muskie behavioral science
  • Environmental effects on Muskie hunting - what to look for and how to adjust.
  • Atmospheric variables including temperature, moisture, wind velocity, and barometric pressure as it relates to Muskie hunting
  • Proper release

Truth be told; When investing your time and money into the sport of fishing, you understand part of the sport includes "playing the odds".  You want the highest odds in your favor of having an enjoyable experience and landing a Muskie.  Well, you've come to the right place!

Please note we adhere to catch and release guidlines.
